McMaster Children’s Hospital Foundation is focused on fundraising for the highest priority needs of the McMaster Children’s Hospital. These needs typically include a wide variety of medical equipment, resources, patient amenities and research initiatives.
McMaster Children’s Hospital has been providing care to children from across the region since 1988. Patients ranging in age from infancy to 17 receive care through a family-centred approach that accounts for the child’s emotional, mental, and physical well-being. McMaster Children’s Hospital Foundation is also a proud partner of the A Family of Support: Child & Youth Mental Health Initiative.
The hospital is home to the fastest-growing kids-only emergency department in Ontario, one of Canada’s most advanced neonatal intensive care units, and a range of programs and clinics with unique expertise in several areas including children’s cancer, digestive diseases, and mental health.
McMaster Children’s Hospital is also home to the largest paediatric mental health program in Canada through its inpatient program and complementary outpatient programs including those at Ron Joyce Children’s Health Centre. The specialists in paediatric mental health are working to erase the stigma associated with mental health and conducting ground-breaking research to deal with the root causes of some mental health issues.
